Whoever told the guy what that swingarm really is, I wish the fleas of a thousand camels infest your taint! Some of us who were actually bidding on this because we know what it was are now going to end up having to bid 2 to 3 times more than we should have against more people. Thanks alot a$$hat!

What about the rust holes in it? It is a Westcoast, but $600 with the rust holes in it? Who knows how bad the metal is going to be on it. Could be paint holding it together.

Welcome to 3ww. Where the people with no money enjoy telling sellers that their parts are worth a million dollars. I've had it happen to me before on items as well. It isn't the first time it's happened and it won't be the last. Get used to the tire kickers. Then you have the people who will offer you tons of money for your machinery who have no money at all. Some of these people are the real cream of the crop for sure. LOL

Had that happen to me just recently. Buddy slipped out how valuable the item's were and the dude doubled the price on me and I couldn't meet the total cost of purchase. I never said nothin' to either as it's still worth twice the amount and still there. Didn't get mad at buddy either, he was protecting the rig so it wouldn't be parted and sold as whole, but now Onnie has to mow twice as many lawns this summer, and there's a risk it won't be there in 2-4 months. I'm old fashioned, changing the price like that is dishonest no matter how you look at it. When you offer it up on the 1st listing, that's your original word. Changing it out of greed (obviously he didn't know what it was before and just came across it out of ignorance) is going back on your word, and this is now, in this day and age, considered 'normal' or 'just business'. Let's call it what it is: dishonest.

Ain't that the truth! I distinctly recall somebody offering me $8500 for my 200R and saying he definitely wanted it and not to sell it to somebody else. I never heard from him again, nor did he show up on here again. Buster Brown even talked to that guy and the guy told him at the time that he had it already!

Hey guys im the guy selln the +4 westcoast swingarm. Yes i had a guy offer me 250 for it off ebay so of course i did alil research and realized what it was. Yes its alil beat up but its still real strong and not broke but yes some a## drilled holes in it. But we wil see how it goes.

Those holes (if just drilled) could be welded, feathered, and then PC'd. The metal used in those arms is quite stout. It's probably just fine.

[QUOTE]Buster Brown even talked to that guy and the guy told him at the time that he had it already! /QUOTE]

Long story and a bit to detailed to share in depth, but.....Yep, I asked for tease pictures of this "200R project".... He didn't want to show it yet. Too Funny, small world......

My thought on the holes is that they are from water getting inside (not drilled) and the metal is rusting from the inside out so there is no telling just how bad that section is. I would hate to pay that much money for something to section the side out for replacement. A member on here had a Tecate Westcoast that was rusted all to hell inside and he had to remove a large section of the side to remove the rust.

Tri-Z bottom ends jump when the seller finds out they have a 6speed. Yeah it's not funny when you think you've found your needle in the haystack for the right price...tire kicker giving up product value to unknowning seller is disapointing. I think we've all had a taste of this or will at one point or anouther.

TO dcreel AND OTHERS I JUST POSTED SOME NEW PICS ON EBAY TO SHOW THAT THERE IS NO RUST, THAT THING HAS BEEN IN AZ. FOR A LONG TIME AND IT IS RUST FREE BUT YES I WISH THE HOLES WERE NOT THERE. PEOPLE CAN BID WITH CONFIDENCE. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280658576421&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

Well considering you did not know what you had until someone told you I would say you made out alright.

Nobody else wants to bid against Tunes, he always wins. You shouldn't be upset anyway, you got more than a fair price for it considering it needs repair and you were willing to let it go for cheaper before.

That middle hole looks like it was punctured rather then drilled, but who ever drilled them must have been drunk or some thing, rough looking drill holes. Even something with that is rare if it has damage' its going to be tough to get going price, especially with unknown damage just makes people nervouse I am sure there there is no personal vendeta here.

Well, that is $50 more than you were offered off of eBay, considering you had help identifying it you should be happy, I got a +2 Westcoast Tecate arm for $50 buy it now because it was listed as a stock swinger... Rule number one, if you want top dollar you will need to do your own research before you list it... from the bid history of your original auction the highest bid was $45, I'd say whoever told you what you had basically gave you an extra $255, of course after PayPal and eBay fees you will be close to the $250 the first guy offered you... You know what they say... hindsight is 20/20 and greed will get you nowhere... and if you want to make money buying and selling parts, figure out what they are and describe them accurately out of the gate and don't get pissed off if it doesn't bring what someone told you it was worth, after all if was really worth what they said, wouldn't have they bought it? After all, we're all looking for bargains:D

Hi,
The swingarm arrived today. It was very well package shipping was reasonable, shipped on time.not rusted as stated early. That's the good now for the bad!!!!!!!!
You were all worried about acouple holes drill in it.We all missed at 1 time the chain had come off and wrapped around carrier and put a large dent on chain size.Just like speedbumps acouple years ago.I think that sold for $200 but was missing the insects.
All in all I feel it was a fair price. If I had paid $600 for it I would be very mad.

One more thing Where's the chain slide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Tunes!!!!!!!!!
