That would be nice to have a tank that nice. Once you put fuel in it and give it a week or two and its gonna look like crap.

I wounder if he sealed the inside of the tank. I have seen a guy who restores Can-am Motorcycles and how he restores the plastic tanks is he seals the inside of the tank so that the fuel vapors dont leak through the plastic and bubble the paint. Its almost worth a shot to have a tank like this one.

he forgot to take out in his discription that there is no reserve lol because in nice blue words it says reserve. nice tank see how crazy this one goes for.

I was excited about that when I saw it too.. until I realized that it was painted. Personally I wouldn't call painting a plastic tank a restore..

Asked the seller if tank was sealed on the inside and he said it was not. Its a dam shame that someone is going to pay good money for that tank and then once they add fuel its going to be flushed down the toilet.

It hit $104 last time and didn't hit the reserve.. Hmmm I know I'll relist it for $599 BIN...

My personal belief is that a painted Tecate tank is not restored.. Dude is nuts..

yeah i would have to say he is on some wacky stuff, for that price i was expecting maybe 150 reserve but since he put it up with a buy it now for that price nobody was even close to his reserve lol. you are right there dcreel he is off his rocker.

Don't you just love when people do that stuff. Craigslist is notorious for this (among other things). My favorite is "Its a $1000 this weekend only, but after that the price is going up". There was a guy by me with a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro pile of a 350x that started at $750, then went to $1300, then to $2000, then back to $1000, and the last I saw it's still on there for $500.

Just makes you wonder what in the hell people are thinking most of the time.
