Have to second Josh.....Lived in Escanaba for two years and they were the nicest & most honest people on the planet, I'd live there again in a heartbeat if summer was more than than three days long. They don't do guile, and if I took anybody's word on a part(s) condition sight unseen it would be a "Youpers".

there is def a sweet spot in the market.

I've gotten, let's see, 1,2,3,4 85 sx's for less than 250$ and 1,2,3 or 4 big reds
for about the same.
say a day or 2 like 10 hrs work on each, mostly carb and tank cleanup
VERY little parts $$.

one needs fender, one needs a better exhaust, one needs brakes
one has a new starter but no battery but starts with 1/2 kick,
but I USE them and have no time to perfect them.

Then there are the 'future barn finds' that are hidden and locked and perfect.

I got a 110 for 30 bucks on a pallet. No wheels.
Bought it for parts.

After walking around it for a few weeks, I hung a lawnmower gas tank on it and it started
on the 2nd pull.

Just gotta keep eyes open and make friends with the scrap metal guys.
Got a few that way too since they know I 'collect' those silly red
tricycles.

Even 'found' 2 in my driveway not too long ago.
