Normally I'd post pics.. but I think you guys should see this $2500 roach for yourselves..

Gas tank bolt..? Nope.. Dog bone nut..? Who needs it.. drill a hole in the bolt and throw in a cotter pin..

It's like Where's Waldo.. Only it's spot the missing fasteners, and extra hose clamps.. Can you spot the booger weld on the broken frame? Is that electrical tape holding the frame together?

$2495...? Are you out of your mind...?

Nevermind the weather cracked tires.. I'm going to throw in a new Tecate 4 petcock.. Cheebus what a trainwreck..

Turns out that Tecate is also magic, and was owned by both Harry Houdinni, and Chris Angel.

You pour water into the intake, and it backfires out diamonds.

The only thing that could survive riding on that would be Clint Eastwood's chin.

yeah, that is funny. Also love the quote "purchased from a local lady that lived in california. She said they used to ride it out west ."

West of California? Hawaii? Ocean??

I have a bag of "ultra rare" sprocket cover bolts, that I'll trade for those OEM fenders....

Stuff seen in the pictures (nit picking but I'm not 100% awake yet either)

As you said: tank bolt & lower dog bone bolt

As well as:

petcock, missing rear fender brace, amateur lookung repair to rear subframe, grab bar tweaked, silencer core gone, rear carrier bolt loose, disc cover modified to cover drum, rear master cylinder looks empty, missing sprocket guard, kill switch / light wires not connected...

probably more, it don't look too bad from a distance though, with three bad tires and the missing/messed stuff, if he knocked $1500 or so off the top I would think about it (I really want those rear fenders)

Don't forget the zip tie holding the exhaust on... Those unplugged wires? Those are just extras. That said I would love to have the seat and the plastic. I just can't see paying $2500 to get them.

Did she ride it while out west or did she ride it to get out west. That may be where the tire tread went.... its a long way out there.

Geez... Look at all the bidders, willing to step up and spend $2500 on it!

... disc cover modified to cover drum ...I believe that's an authentic, unmodified cover. I've never seen one of those for a drum brake before, but the angled shape in front appears to be for clearance of the drum brake actuator arm.

If I'm not mistaken, that's Jimmy White's old mechanic riding it in the video!

Yes, it was made by Maier for the 84 Tecate. I hadn't caught that one..

I just watched the video.. I talked to the seller by e-mail about this Tecate when he was going to be in Wichita at a motorcycle show with the Tecate. This was months ago when it was on craigslist for $1000.. If he would have had a link with these pics in the Craigslist ad I wouldn't have even contacted him at $1000
