GUYS!!!!!!!! CALM DOWN! These are NOT going to go CHEAP! They have 5 days left,and ones at $750 Already!! Yes,same barn in AR,he had 35. 4 were stolen,He is now almost 91 yo,and his 2 daughters have "taken over the estate". What a FN shame. He had a full time guy who came to work everyday doing nothing BUT restoring 250ES. ALL DAY EVERYDAY! 3 86's and 9 85's left. ALL are leaving. Too bad they couldn't have gone as one,,this just really upsets me and I suppose it shouldn't. But he did EXACTLY ,,sort of,,,what I have done. Hold onto the ones you like. Anyhow,,I think these will all fetch a good buck! Local pu only tho.

Did you end up buying any of them? What do you mean when you say #2 and #12 were spoken for even tho they were up for auction?

Nope,I bid zero times. I wanted all or none for shipping reasons. 2 and 12 were going to family friends Regardless of price. Getting old sucks! But he doesn't know what even went on. All done and said. Enjoy yours!!

I spoke with the seller today, and he told me that I'm only the second person he's sold one to that is in Arkansas. He said 1 Big Red went to Mississippi, 3 are going to a ranch in Texas, 2 to Nebraska. That seems like a long way to go for a 3 wheeler to me, but to each his own. I am going to pick mine up on Wednesday. I asked if he still had any of the Hondaline stuff mentioned in the old threads, but he said most all of that stuff was stolen.

ALL his machines are gone. His Grandpa was a collector,had 35 ,,4 or more were stolen. these were IT. All gone. And he had Big Reds only.

Well I went and picked up my Big Red on Monday, and I would have posted about it earlier but I havn't had much time for forums...(to busy riding it lol:lol:) As I mentioned before, I won #7, which had a custom rear rack and some really gawdy floorboards. (looked more like a tray, pretty much a catch-all). Needless to say those immediatly came off as soon as it got home. It has the origional metal tank, with no rust holes or visible rust, but it looks like someone once made a half-ass attempt at coating the inside. Most of the origional plastic is nice, a little scratched up and the rear fender trim pieces are gone, as well as some wear on the mudflaps (like some idiot rode it with the fenders up:crazy:) but I have some from my other project that I will put on. It seems to be mechanically sound, no oil leaks or anything unusual. The brakes are a little sticky and I'll have to take them apart an put some anti-sieze on them, but that's expected considering it sat for 15 years. It also still has the toolkit under the seat, and I got the origional owner's manual.

cool man!! start a new thread in trikesylvania, with some good pics. you will get alot more views there. i always use photobucket to host my pics, and just copy and paste the link here. you can post pics through the here. just use the "go advanced " link, and click on manage attatchments. glad your enjoying the new bigred. not sure if the fender trim and flaps are still available. they were a few yrs ago. i never see the fender trim for sale used either. they tear off very easy in the trails!! all were prob lost early on! i actually think there was a service bullitin issued on the fender trim, to put a few more fsteners on it.
