Well after getting stuck for the better part of an hour i've decided i need a winch.
I found a 3000 pound winch used for very cheap which is total overkill but the price was just to right so now all i have left is to mount it.
I was thinking of using the front rack mounting bracket and welding a couple more tabs 3 inches above those directly to the forks but want to avoid welding to the forks.
I can definitely fab and weld the mounting plate, so what im hoping for is someone elses specs for the mounting plate to attach to the existing mounting brackets for the front rack and headlight guard brackets.
I would prefer to avoid trial and error on my own if someone has already done this.
