I've been wanting to ride more for fitness mostly but just can't seem to make the time for it. I went for a ride a couple weeks ago and realized just how out of shape my lower body is within about 15 minutes

I ride just about every day. We have 3 wheeled adult tricycles here at work to help us get from building to building faster. I know, it's not a fancy mountain bike, but it's still a pedal bike. LOL

I used to have a 2009 specialized p2 cromo that I rode the trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro out of. I could leave my town and make it to the next town in 40min it take 30 in a car.lol It was a great bike until it got stolen from me last summer. I got it back with all the paint filed off the frame

SPD FRK, neat little set up. Hillbilly, sorry about your bike getting stolen. With the adult tricycles, some of the guys at work paint them different colors and add little bits and pieces. All the trikes have metal baskets on the back and some people have substituted plastic cartons for the normal metal baskets. They do save time, but they are not rated to haul alot of extra weight. But they can carry small parts, gloves, a bucket of tools or what have you. They can be pretty handy.

I worked in a plant that had them ...crazy heavy .All were yellow . I always wanted to jump one off the loading ramp or ride it down the stairs .

Nice Yeti, We have some great downhill in my area. The Mt Ashland trails are legendary. I have jumped on some of my friends really nice downhill bikes and kept up with some really great riders. I have also crashed hard enough to break a full faced helmet. I was really close to buying my friends Specialized Big Hit with fox 40's up front. I have gone back to dirt bikes instead, a lot safer. =P

Downhill and Free riding are something I get though, it's a blast.

That's funny. Motorcycles are safer than pedal bikes in my opinion. downhill is one of the most dangerous things I have tried. The people that ride road bikes on the road are the most crazy.

The dirt bike I picked up is just a little crf 250x. The really funny thing is she demanded that I get it. I wasn't allowed to buy anything else until I got a dirt bike. She used to race woods races and is anxious to show off, all I saw was her on the ground a lot. Now I get to work on HER bike. =|

It is nice to get on two wheels again though.

I will look you up when I'm in Eureka or Bend and you can school me . I'm far more dangerous on a Dirtbike .You wont ever see me jump up any cliff on pedals

Ive been riding most of my life and now my 5 yr old is gung ho for bmx, so I started building a track in our horse pasture. I used to have a wicked track at my parents but its been along time since anyone really rode on it or kept up on it! Im probably going to do bmx with my son next yr. You think 30 is to old to get back into some dirt jumping??? I still act like a teen most of the time!!!

Ha ha , I got lots of scars from dirt jumping but never broke anything other than my bikes, better late than never I guess. My boy does really good so far on the jumps and gets some air but gotta wait to start teaching tricks. He has so much damn energy all the time this is one of the few things that get rid of it, so be it!! Bring on the pain!!

I ride a Haro and my boy has one of those dirtbike pedal bikes, its heavy for him but I got an 98 schwinn predator frame I told him Id build up for him if hes gonna race. I used to ride a schwinn pro stock one and it was super light and a great race/dirt jumping bike. Wish I knew where it was today!
