Hey guys,

BillyBoy34, aka Robert William Miner passed away friday morning after a 2 car accident. A car came into his lane and he could not avoid her. He was 30, he leaves behind his wife of nearly 5 years, Natalia, and an almost 2 year old girl, Olivia. He lived in Warwick RI and was just an awesome guy. I went to his house the other day to get him some clothes to wear and get some things for his wife and kid, his trike is in pieces all over his basement/garage. I hope one day to get it together for him. I have a few pics of how it was the day he bought it, he loved that thing, the shifter bent and stripped out on a rock, rather that just fix that he went in for a full frame up restoration.

I delivered his Eulogy yesterday and he was put to rest.

My heart bleeds, yet again.
Another reason I'm trying to quit my dr job, but lord knows,
there's nowhere to hide.

Is there a way we can send some offerings?

You are a great man Bigshot. If we has more people like you, the world would be a better place. I agree, are we going to set up some sort of a donation fund for his family? Sounds like they are in need of a helping hand..

Its not my $100 that will make the difference , but 100 men giving $1 will . Its the power of kindness , the tradition of team work , honor , and the art of doing the right thing !

wow thanks guys, i dont really know how to set something up for him. his family has asked that donations be made to his bicycle team that rides the Pan Mass Challenge every year, its a Dana Farber Cancer Institute funraiser. I can get the specific info soon. i could also just give my paypal and i can give his wife the funds but Im not sure anyone feels ok with that. Thanks again and let me know what you think i should do

General delivery to their bank address?
No account numbers of course.

or get a cheap po box for the family directly.

I'd ask their bank if they'd even accept out of state checks.
One of my banks here will accept $ without account numbers, just a name
but the other one absolutely refuses to allow that.

I guess details like these, however annoying, are better than constant worrying.

Everyone that donates; make sure to mark it as a gift and not a payment.

ok, i spoke with Natalia a few hours ago. She said that Bobby had already started a savings accnt and college fund (some 503A or something like that) for Olivia. However she is not sure how to access them or have funds sent, as Bobby handled all the financial stuff for the house. I will post my PayPal but if you are uncomfortable sending me money i would ask that maybe a check would be mailed. i know its a pain in the ass. she is currently living with her parents in their hometown. so she can get them there, she is also working on getting mail forwarded from their house is RI.

checks could be sent to:
PM me for contact info

this is what i was thinking. so far there is $40 in the fund, donated from 3 generous members. if anyone is willing to give even a dollar, it will get us closer to our goal of $400 to help buy Olivia a playscape for where she and Natalia will be living for now.

Good morning everyone I haven't been on in a while. Pudge told me he set this up for Bobby and the generosity of everyone on here is overwhelming. Me, Pudge and Bobby spent many hours riding and talking about trikes. We have all known each other since we were about 8 years old and I have never met a more generous and caring guy then Bobby. He was the kind of guy that would help anyone in need out no matter what he had going on That is why it is so touching that so many of you have donated money to help out his family. It is wonderful to see support from everyone on here, and I want to thank all of you for being so generous.

Cheers,
Kevin

thanks guys. your generosity is very appreciated. what was going to be a fund for a playscape for his daughter may end up being used for some cobra insurance. i will still get her the playscape but it looks like his work (he carried the benefits for the household) may be dropping them from their plan any day now. until things get straightened out she will likely have to pay into a cobra policy, $400+ a month. hopefully 1-2 months will work until something else can be figured out. thanks again guys
