Surprisingly this nice condition trike is for sale in my town where from personal experience it is hard to find good condition 3 wheelers.. Anyway the only bad thing is that it has no compression anymore, it says a top end rebuild should take care of that. I assume a top end rebuild is only for experienced mechanic people right? It sounds pretty challenging, and is the only thing stopping me from saving up the money to buy this trike.. I'm new to a lot of mechanic type stuff.. (it took me a whole 2 days to change the brake shoes on my trx 300 but I blame the stuck bolts and covers etc. haha)

200x? or s
Not sure but some have a compression release that can hang up (open)

Wouldn't it be nice if it was something silly and easy?

As far as top end rebuild?
Just need a nice big workbench with room for parts to not get lost,
and good light and a camera so you know how things go back together.

Best to try and figure out what's wrong first.
Maybe the valves just got adjusted too tight.
timing chain jumped?
bent valve?

I wish I could get a look at it, but you need to set up an appointment because it looks like it's at a storage unit. If it is there when I actually can accumulate $675 I'll look into it.

That's definitely an '85 X, w/ no compression release, so it prob'ly will need top end work.
I'd bet he lets it go for 500

yea, $500 max, a diy top end overhaul is $300, that if you dont have to fix the kicker gears. (unless I am the DIY person, than it costs twice that much!! dont ask)

the tank looks funny, is it not for a 200x? looks like a oversized plastic tank w/o the fins

not too-too far away in maine you can find some decent x's, (200x and 350x) for about the same money. not sure how much your willing to spend or travel.

When I get my own truck I'd travel as far as it takes haha and by then I will probably have a better job so my money limit will be higher! (I picked up my quad for $41 dollars..) haha

If I were looking for a 200X I'd think 480-550 is fair.
