We used to know a guy that had an older one. I guess it would overheat to some degree. Was a blast when it ran though. Those are kickass by the way Ray.

I've got a fl350 odyssey, i love the damn thing to death! they do get pretty hot if your not running them around or if you lean them out, they are a blast, i've never ridden a pilot or owned one, but i'm told there suspension is much better than the odyssey. I like me my odysseys :D

I wonder why Honda never made these a bit more permanent feature of their line up? I don't think the Big Red MUV counts as a successor if anything "a spiritual successor" It would be so cool if they were more common too, perhaps their own race class at tracks, their own website even? :D

I have an old beat-to-hell FL250 in my back yard. Saved it from the crusher, I paid the guy 40 bucks. need new tires, new fenders, engine is locked up, need new wiring, new carburator, new throttle and brake cables, new air box, new gas tank, new roll cage, new seat, ect. All the fenders have been painted red, then blue, then green, and then black and every coat is starting to chip so it looks stupid.

i picked up a fl350 last weekend for cheap it is basicly a basket case but everything is there, it will be my next frame up rebuild after the black 350x is done, i dont consider them a 4 wheeler, more of a dune buggy i think

I wish more people saved those machines like you guys are, they're too cool to let rot and or be crushed :'(

I technically have two, one with a cut up roll cage, no engine or any of the runny-bits. It's a mid 80's model with a rollcage.

I also have a complete roller that I don't know the year of, pre-cage, only has that little engine cage behind the seat. It's complete other than the runny-bits, and I really want to put a monster of an engine in it and use it in the 300's, I'm looking for an 899 Triple, some wide slicks, and some concrete blocks for the front. And a rollcage of course....

I like that idea of putting a big engine in it. Ha it would probably be like a mini rock crawler if you didn't put slicks on it

from what my buddy has told me, a few people have done a 660 snowmobile engine swap in the FL250's. sorry can't remember which sled exactly was used for that swap though.

I owned 2, Restored 1, frame up. but had to sell them. Take up way to much room in my garage and no place to ride. I bought them because as a kid could never afford that fun stuff. 1 thing off that list of things i always wanted.
