buying a 250r

Ive been looking around for a honda 250r, year doesnt matter so much. Can anyone give me a price i can pay for one (if i come across one) so i dont get burned. I think ive read $1200 - $2000 depending on shape, but just wanted to double check. Thanks in advance

sounds about right!!!! depending on the shape of it!!! 85-86 are the better ones (liquid cooled) 3rd gen,,,40% more power on powerband than the older ones,,,,,good luck!!!! keep us updated on your buy!!!!!:pics:
