Thank you for posting here Shannon. I do not have a Facebook account, so I wouldn't have seen it.

I was just wondering how Roger was doing the other day. I will continue to keep Roger in my thoughts and prayers.

He is an amazing builder, and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I knew about his cancer, and am very sad to hear this news on his condition.

Please continue to keep us posted. And please pass along on FB that the Mosh's are thinking about him!

EDIT: for those that don't know..his screen name on here is Sandpuppi101 .

Very hard news to take. Roger was one of the first people on the boards I became acquainted with. He was very helpful to me on some of my projects. I would stop in and visit him on my way to Flint when he still lived in Columbiaville. I will keep Roger in my thoughts and prayers.

Don't do Facebook. However, officially met Roger at the first Sandpuppy ride i attended back in 07. I've attended every one since due to his generosity and just being a generally great guy. Myself, and many others have Known about his battle for some time, and i wish him all the best for a full recovery. Really one of the kindest and most helpful person in the 3wheeler community. I'm pullin' for ya buddy...Ed

I like Roger a lot. He's the type of guy that will help you even if he dosen't know you that well. I hope he can beat the cancer. Life can be so unfair at times.

This is news to me as well. His family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Met him back at TF07, and have gladly owned two of his machines. I hope and wish the best for him.

Oh man..... Sandpuppy; I didn't even know him and he handed me all his jets at TF08 to see if any could help.

I'm telling you, MOST 3 wheeler riders are the coolest chits I've ever met (even ones that seem like dicks - me, end up being great guys :D) and we should always try to help them and preserve the sport as well as enhance it!

I'll be glad to send roger some bucks if there is something set up.

So sorry to hear this news :(

Roger is a true foundation block of the three wheeled community. He has helped out with this forum, gave till it hurt for Trikefest, and became personal friends with me and the Mrs.
I have hung around him quite a bit on numerous rides and gatherings and it is always a pleasure to be around him. He is a "give you the shirt off his back" type of guy, and full of knowledge that he is willing to share anytime you ask. I personally witnessed this at TF 09, as he sat at his camp, and fixed a bunch of trikes for others and gave parts away just so they could ride.
Unfortunately due to his time constraints and health, his posting has been very slim lately on here, and the newer guys on here may not know how great a guy Roger is.
We wish you and yours, all the best Roger, and we will pray for you.

Tell him Mosh said "Dont forget Roger, beer can used as WD-40 as a trailside repair when needed"
He will remember that one at the shoe tree.

Please pass this message along to him, for me and Tammy.

Here's what we know at this point. Rich Kirk (Ditchmud) posted just moments ago:

"I just talked to Joedirt. He said that Roger came out of surgery about an hour ago. They had a difficult time and didn't get all of the tumor out with this surgery. The next 36 hours is gonna be critical so please keep praying for Roger's recovery from this battle."

Roger Is an Amazing guy! He will do anything for anyone! I met him at Trikefest In 06, then I found out he was a fellow Michigan Boy. He has stopped by the house, and has given me lots of Honda parts. Roger loves his Hondas, and so do I. I remember asking him If he had a atc 70 carb slide for a project I was building. Roger brought It to one of his Rose City rides. I was amazed that with all he had on his plate getting ready for the ride, he remembered me and handed me the slide as soon as he saw me. That Is a true class act!!! I have stayed In touch over the years, and really enjoy knowing he Is just a phone call away. I'm having a HARD time fighting back the tears right now. We could not make Rogers ride this past summer, and that really hurts me BAD! I told everyone I would be there, then ended up not making It, Sorry guys. Life has been challenging here to make ends meet lately. My problems are nothing compaired to what Roger and others have going on right now. We are all praying for you and your family Roger, we love you and want all to go well. See you soon Buddy!!!

From Roger's Family "Here's an update on roger, everything with the surgery is looking good still, he is still in and out of it, he isn't talking very much, but they are saying things are progressing nicely, no seizures and his brain waves look good" I'll continue to pass on the updates as they come in. Thanks everyone for all the support, I know it means a lot to his family.

I'm sorry I've been behind in posting to this thread. Just to bring everyone up to speed. Things are not going well for Roger. He had complications during surgery that we were not originally aware of and is not recovering well. He's been mostly unresponsive and is not able to eat on his own. They believe that he has had several strokes as well. At this point we are not sure if he will recover or not. Plans are being made to bring him home as soon as he is stable enough to be transferred.

Please keep Roger and his family in your thoughts and prayers (if you say them). Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and sent donations in to help with the costs.

This really is quite a Family!

I'll be talking to Roger's Mom tonight and will pass on all the wonderful things folks have said about Roger to her.

Got to visit with Roger, brother JoeDirt and father Wayne today in Waldron. I had work over there, actually right across from Waynes farm.
I told Roger I would be back over this way when Tapper and I visited him a couple of days after he got out of the hospital (2 and a half weeks ago). So I called Joe this morning on my way to Waldron and him and I was to hook up for lunch but did not hear back from him but along about 2:30 pm up rolled Waynes big white ford truck at the job site with Joe in the back, and Roger riding shot gun !
Roger said he just had to get up and out doors for awhile, get some fresh air, check out home town some ~ awesome !
After about 25 minutes on job site they all wanted to drive back to Rogers deer hunting spot and that they would be back and talk some more.
We got the job site secured about 5 pm so I called Joe and asked where they was at and we hooked up again at Wayne's place for about another 25 minutes of conversation.
Roger is definitely fighter ! I honestly don't think the doctors took into consideration the "PISSED OFF" attitude some folks possess and can utilize to over come major odds.
Roger wanted me to relay to all of you the gratefulness of your thoughts and prayers, all the support given and that his computer is down (again) and his internet service STILL stinks even if his computer was on the up and up.

Really sorry to hear this for all of you who knew him,Family and friends. Glad that Roger is out of the misery though. I know that sounds rough. But I have had to watch a lot of people die slow drawn out deaths, and it is no way to live. Never heard a bad word about him. Only how he was there to help anyone and everyone. Another great loss to our world and especially the 3 wheeled community. We already collected once. If there is a need again, please just someone post here with info. I will gladly collect if needed,or just post an email here to send to. Before, they wanted it mailed. But that was a different situation.. Sorry for the loss guys...

My god, 41 years old. It's just not fair....... I can't imagine what you and your family went through. So very sorry for this loss.

We need a 3WW Memorial forum for members we have lost!!

I've met some great people on here that I would have never met otherwise.......

Were getting older guys!!

I'm 41 myself, I feel and ride like I'm in my twenty's but things catch up with you. It hurts like hell the next day, but there are too many guys to have a great day with so I try to make any ride I can; And we all shoot the chit and everyone is cool.
