1984 200es cyclinder studs

Hello all, do I have to pull the motor out to get the head and cyl off, or can I unscrew the studs from the crankcase?

You can pull a head in frame if I remember right, but I don't see the cylinder coming off. Those studs are normally in the cases pretty tight.
