Can someone with a stock muffler on a 350X do me a favor and measure the opening size (the actual size of the hole where the exhaust comes out-just to be clear), my 350X didn't come with a baffle but the baffle out of my XR650L fits right in but I need to know If it's choking it down with a smaller opening then the 350X, I still want to get the stock baffle in there If I can track one down as I still need the XR650L baffle for my motorcycle.
thanks.

So I did some more using of the search option and found that this question has been asked by a couple other people with no response, is it because no one has a stock pipe or is it a government conspiracy?!?

Thank you, to the both of you who responded, I would rather people respond with "stock pipes? we don't neeeeeed no stinkin' stock pipes!!" rather then having virtual tumble weeds rolling across the forum planes.
I know someone out there must have a stock pipe...I'm going to keep trying.

from what I have researched the 250R is 32mm compared to 20mm on the XR650L so the 350X is............??:wondering

Since my X died the other day and its now in pieces, and brings a tear to my eye just looking at it in this shape, I think I can overcome the feelings for a few and will check when I get home in the morning for you, if I remember.

If I understand the question, you want to know the size of the hole in the insert that goes into the end of the stock baffle?

Approx 42mm on my 85 350x. Approx because I could not quite get my caliper into the hole.

Is this the hole you measured:

If so, then that makes the idea of a 650 only having a 20mm opening in comparison kind of ridiculous.
ok,Chickengizzard, your up, can you second the opening size?

the inserted picture of the baffle is from a '85 ATC 250R.

Mine is 38.3mm side to side and 37.9 top to bottom. I figure there's some warpage. So 38mm

great! thanks again both of you.
well, now I know that the 650L baffle is really choking it down and it's interesting to know that the 350X baffle is 6mm bigger then the 250R,
this also means that I need to either get a 350X baffle, manufacture a new baffle or get some aftermarket muffler...

to summarize...ATC 350X baffle opening size 38mm, ATC 250R baffle opening size 32mm, XR650L baffle opening size 20mm,
Hmmmm...looks a bit redundant next to the title...:wondering
