Its kinda a basketcase, 86 250r, 86 cr5 engine, stretched swinger, extra disassembled 85 cr5 engine, "box of parts", extra set of rear tires n wheels, ugly mismatched plastic. Says it won't run, kicks over but won't fire, not getting spark. Waiting for close up pics of the exhaust and engine mounts, says the frame isn't cracked anywhere. Its about a 2.5 hour drive one way, $850 bux..... do I need this?!?!

if the cr motor is not in very good shape i would say it is not worth it. i mean thats only going off the one pic. just seems too high to me and then have to diagnose also.
would be awesome when done right though!

ugh.... $500 and thats about it....swinger looks hacked...no case saver so could have the chain jumped and cracked off the bolts or worse...motor well need better pics.... to me it's a 5 bill at the most project... but need better pics to see whats up with it

Cmon guys, I need someone 2 talk me into this! Lol, I'm waitin on more pics still, there's a chance this guy may do some trading so that would knock the price down some... I'm thinkn worst case, I could stick a stock 250r engine back in there, I also have a good 87 cr5 engine 4 a trike project (pile of parts)....
Thanks 4 the input, I get a little trigger happy when I got cash and see something "cool", but I'm gonna hold out just a lil bit longer on this one

If it is running I would go for it and consider a steal. take a minute to see what a running cr 500 engine goes for and what a bare 250r roller would go for. I think 800.00 is a steal

No way in hell would I even give him 500, 300 too 400 maybe! Since the cover is off the fly wheel side grab the fly wheel and see if the crank bearings are loose, looks like no top motor mount! All in all depends on how much money you want too spend and how much time you really want too put in it.

300 is about it and i'd have to be in a really good mood to give 50 more.... it's a project bike that needs alot of love.... too bad your not in the NE you can get a golfcart with a 1000cc for 800 thats more together than that.... but it's your $$

It's def sat a LONG time! Ugly ass motor!! Like Ben said,,there is a lot there to start with,,by your list of machines,,you know what you're looking at. We would all be more comftorable around the $400-$ 500 mark,,when you look at it,go slow,,cover your bases. Crank bearings, compression,,any noises kicking it thru? Frames hacked and welded,sa bolt isn't right,,he knows what he has,,and wants to sell it : )

Its still in the back of my mind, the dude had 2 go outta town on business for like a week, we had briefly discussed doing some trading, so when he gets back I'm gonna try 2 just trade him out of it for some old truck parts.....maybe a little cash, but we'll see what happens. I figure I won't get beat up 2 bad around here if I trade some junk for it vs hard earned cash. Lol, thanks

i 500r would be fun but that thing needs some SERIOUS ATTENTION!!!! I agree with every post above, sucks to say it because im the last person hanging onto a basket case with the hopes of makign a runner lol
