Here are some pics of Sunday's ride. It's not all the time I carry a camera and/or stop to take pics, so I figured I'd share. There was 3 of us...'83 250R, '86 250R, & an '85 Tri-zinger 60 (nephew). For me it was the first time riding for like 4 years. It was great to shake the cobb webbs loose and man did it feel good! Enjoy

yeah she's got some minor problems though. Need to rebuild petcock, almost frozen and i think restricting flow to carb (found sand in tank before i cleaned it) and it has a bent axle which i'm going to try and fix before i buy another.

No down on the island. It's tough right now in gilboa with hunting season and all. I don't want to piss of my neighbors, they let me ride on their property.

sweet looking pic's 1tonofsh!t how do you like the tires that are on the back of your 2nd gen 250r?

Yea we're already brainwashing my nephew that 3 wheelers rein supreme to 4 wheelers.

200x,
As for the tires I don't have much ridin' time on them, but my cousin ran them for years and loved'em. We were on hardpacked sand/dirt and they worked well for me, but when we came across loose sand they weren't as good. I used to have shredders on my old 200x and they were awsome all around for the type of soil and snow around here...imho.

Here are some more pics of the '83. I'm noticing more things that need to be fixed or maintained as time goes on. As of now she needs new axle bearings, clutch lever (oem), fix e-brakes, rear brake resivoir needs changing along with hose, front shock o-ring, new front tire, exhaust leak between silencer and pipe. I know it's all worth it especially that my newphew will be riding these one day and I know his father wouldn't let him ride anything that wasn't perfect...haha.

nice R's, like the blue Zinger. is it me or is the suspension on the Zinger bottomed out (1st pic) i think you can still get a rebuild kit for them. little guy looks right at home on the R, i think you better watch your back. :beer

haha will do Jon Boy. Good eyes btw...the zinger's front was seized downward at compression of the shocks, but by the end of the day they broke free but still don't move smoothly. I'll have to try and see if rebuild kits still exist. Thanks
