Went to a track in Rockford. Was told only 2 and 4 wheels allowed. Sucks man. I love my 85 atc more than a 4 wheeler.

howdy and welcome to the site. :beer
sorry not sure about northern IL. there's a few tracks around here, but not sure how friendly they are to 3wheels. also there are a few parks down south here that are 3wheel friendly, but you gotta have it registered to ride these parks. being by Chicago i figure it's not easy finding somewhere to ride, but since your that close to Wisconsin i imagine you'd have better luck up there IMO. hopefully some one closer to you will chime in sometime. enjoy the site :beer

The Badlands in Attica, Indiana. It is a pretty good drive from you. There are plenty of woods trails, hills, boulders, sand and a MX track. Just about every type of terrain you could ask for.

How about when the lakes freeze?
Pretend you're going ice fishing and just don't stop anywhere.

Is frozen lake access controlled?

Sometimes the regular DMV has offroad areas and rules and maybe even safety permits
required.
Some require proof of ownership and proof of offroad safety course and maybe even insurance.

Just tell them you're thinking about getting / riding a 3 wheeler off road and want to know what the cops are gonna want.

I've heard they'll cut trikes in half when people try to get them across the north border into Canada.

Wonder why people tell us these horror stories.
Isn't Holoween over?

The Cliffs in Marseilles ILL, I dont know what type of riding your into, but if its slow crawling mud trails, its for you, I go there with my 250r and can't get out of 3rd gear. Not really my type of riding but they allow 3wheelers and its all we have around here.

Not a fan of the cliffs myself. Badlands is where i go as well only about 35 mins from me. I usually take a 250r and a shaft drive for doing some rock crawling and trails. We have alot of riders in this ara we should do a big group there one day.

There's a place in Astoria that I went to several years ago with the 250r. I couldn't tell you how/where it is in Astoria, but I believe it has a motocross track and lots of woods riding. Chucks Quad Park in Pekin used to be open for 3 wheelers as well...kinda small though, only went once..again, several years ago so not sure the status of it.

The place in astoria is called bushy ridge motosports. its worth the drive. 15$ a day to ride, camping is free. Lots of trail, large hills and a creek running over the hole place. mx track and sort of a xc track. We spend about every other weekend in the summer. Chucks in pekin closed down last year.
