im doing a top end rebuild on my 95 trx300fw and i made the mistake of letting the timing chain fall off the lower crankshaft gear! in my service manual it says to not let this happen because it will cause the chain to bunch up and could cause damage. but my question is will that be all that happens? or is there a mark on the lower gear that needs to match up with a mark on the chain? i cant seem to find jack trailpro in the service manual but the yamaha shop guy told me yes but i cant find anything.. im gonna be pissed if i pulled the side cover off for nothing. only markings on the chain are randomly ordered "m's" and i found one "G" but no marks on the crank gear.. please help!
