first post, been a member for years, trolled around a couple years back, then got out of riding and forgot this place existed.
had this gem given to me for free, not running(bad cdi)
took about a year to do, but i only messed with it while i was bored on the weekends. wasn't a priority.

Nice trike and at a wonderful price. I have an '86 missing the right side cover. Wish mine kooked that good. I am afraid to take it all apart, might not get it back together or have parts leftover. Great job on a great trike

Loaded up ready to ride
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p88/hdizzle0407/2fedcf38.jpg
Made a 6-7 hr ride last night, broke a starter gear and the head light burned out 10 min into the ride.
Borrowed a fog light from another guy there and made the rest of the ride.

I can snap a couple closer pics of the snorkel this week.

No sweat on tearing it down, just lay everything out and have a manual for when you forget.

Personally, I think it's a loss since you scrapped the bicycle basket that was on the front rack along with the gun holder! Those sure were 'keepers'! ;)

regretfully i did scrap the gun holder, but thankfully i foresaw a collectors market for that basket.
id gladly ship the basket along with the rubber bungee mounting/stabilizing system for the low price of $3.50 plush shipping so you too could enjoy this little piece of history.

thanks for the kind words guys, while its not a perfect resto, its perfect for me -the missing side cover.
it will be used as it was intended for work and play, and hopefully this was just what it needed for another 25+ years of trouble freeish service.

Short piece of pipe, 45, then a 90 to get it out and up.

Made a little ride today
Trying out different tires seeing what works best for me.
Other than floating and pushing a wall of mud in some holes it pretty much goes where I want it to.
Weather was too bad to take pics, but we rode for around 8 hrs today in what seemed like an endless rainstorm.
Had a blast showing up a few larger bikes on 29.5s and 31 outlaws in a couple holes, but in return they let me work til I was too tired to stand in the others before throwing a winch line.

Got a few more bugs to work out and next ride I'll make sure to get some action pics.

Here it is on it's new shoes. Snorkel isn't on in this pic only cause I was respraying the Berliner a little thicker.

29.5/12/12 laws and a 29.5/10/12 swamplite in the front.
