well happened upon this unit in the local paper,
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p88/hdizzle0407/d80f96cf.jpg

price looked sketch so i called.
owner stated he couldnt get it started, but he thought it had a recent top end rebuild on it, he said it was in "pretty good shape"

went to look at it and didnt bother trying to start it or anything, noticed the rear brake wasnt working and the suspension felt spongy, front forks seemed to leak a little as well, could see it through the cracked boots.

got it home drained the fuel and put fresh in it, flushed the bowl with the fresh fuel, couple solid kicks and it runs.
no smoke and good comp, but...timing chain is slapping bad.
no tears in the seat, no cracks in the plastics, front brakes work, headlight works and it runs.
timing chain doesnt matter as its destined to become an auto x.
need to rebuild forks and shock,
needs handle bars,
fork boots,
rear master cyl,
and a front tire(current one is out of round)

mentioned it to a couple guys at wk and one of them has what he thinks is an old 185 he said he would donate so ill go pick that up tomorrow afternoon.
really have no need for it, but itll occupy a couple sundays when i have nothing else to do.

Looks really nice and has a couple of nice pieces like the headlight and front master guard. They're great trikes!

Yeah, trail pros.
And I gave the guy 300$ the ad said 500 for a not running trike. That's what I found odd. Figured either the owner was
Crazy, or it was in nice condition.
I figured an easy 300 in parts so that's what I offered and he bit.

For $300 you did damn good. I paid $300 for an 85 with a blown motor. I have over $600 in and it still dont run. Thats probably not one of my best purchases, but I have made enough on the others that it evens it out I guess.
