The craziest part, I'm watching the video and it still isn't making sense to me.

Very cool! However, who has the skrilla to buy the press needed to operate that bit? Without that press that seems to have a chuck that moves in a predetermined pattern by a computer program, it would be a useless bit. That drill press would cost a fortune!

It looks like this could be used in a regular drill press, the bit is just made off center and is designed to "wobble" into a square pattern. Same concept as offsetting in a 4 jaw chuck in a lathe. Pretty slick.

Looks like similar princple as a woble broch.

Looks like the bit goes up and down in a predetermined pattern as well. would be nice if it worked on a drill press or mill! It just looks weird.

It's almost as if every 45 degrees it cuts, then, the head raises slightly, moves and goes back down to removes some material 45 degrees away from the previous cut.

Looks like it takes 9 times to cut the square rough.

Maybe the wobble is every 15 degrees to complete the square. The depth would determine the overall length of run time.

Seems that way to me anyhow :D

Pretty awesome. When did we get so fat and stupid anyhow? Oh never mind, thats just our government....

What did Steve Jobs say about inventions and creative process?

Kind looks like some sort of cam is running that bit but is in time so
the corner bites and walks away.
Looks like a 3 cornered bit on the intro

The rattle noise is interesting.
I thought it may be a hammer drill at first.
I just love a good mystery.

Wonder if a flowjet is cheaper or faster?
I remember a square drill for wood, but that was simple.
Sharpened square box with a drill bit inside and it just guided and squared off the hole.
