Hey guys, looking at a tecate. Sold mine a few years back and regret it. This one is all orig, but the motors stuck. Has been sitting since 1992 the guy said. Looks to be in ok shape. Any idea what its worth??

If its all original but motor has problems Id offer him around $300 and see what he says. It would be worth more to the right person but if its been sitting that long they apparently have no interest in it. Maybe a good idea to let him come up with a price first and dont seem to eager.

Plastics arent too hard to bring back to life, just takes time and elbow grease. Like I said, let him come up with a general price and go from there. You may be able to get it for pretty cheap. I paid $200 for mine but it came in a couple boxes and sat outside for a few years. I dont think Id pay more than $4-500 for it if its blown. But that may just be me!

rear fenders are for an 86-87. I doubt it has sat since 92 since the proper fenders were readily available then

Look like oem 84-85 Tecate fenders to me...

no tabs on the sides for the mud flaps, they sit higher and are different how they are shaped in the front. hard to tell with that huge pic but thats what I see

Those are oem correct 1984/5 Tecate rear fenders on the bike being mentioned(it was common to cut off the mudflap tabs back in the day because who would want actual mud flaps on a sport 3 wheeler), the 86/7 Tecate's rear fenders incorporated a mudflap-idea into the actual fender like the 85/6 250r. It is very hard to find nice uncut 84/5 plastics.

I cut mine back in '87.. That's what the Jimmy White Replica Manual said to do..

I think I used a hacksaw... Ahh to be young again...
