i like how he says it looks like a 250 r trike but bigger hahaI think they meant faster!! I don't think it's much of a deal though. It only needs a few things to be ridable, which usually means alot more than they say.

Man, Ive been wanting a 2nd gen for my garage but like Ben said, $2800 and needs work! If I was rich enough I may consider it! Im waiting for Ben or 86T3 to feel like unloading one to a fellow Tecate lover and Ill figure it out when it happens! Ha ha

It is a nice one for sure, but I am a little concerned with how the Tecate seems angled back. The forks look to be at the right spot on the tripples, but if you look at the swingarm it's gold, and the rear chain sprocket looks like the 84/5 style(the 86/7 usually had a smaller one and if they did have hollow spots they were small triangles). I think it may have an 84/5 swingarm, carrier, and axle w/ components. It would be nice if the parts are 86/7, because I see a skid plate on there for the chain. The skid plate looks like it's an inch away from the frame in the first picture too. I still think that it's a good start to owning one in your area, considering that you say they don't appear there too often.

i am not at all interested, just figured id post it up. i would imagine 2800 is a starting point, and i haveno idea what a full set of oem kawi plastic cost, but i'm sure its not cheap! did not look super close at the trike though, and am not too familiar with this model.

I wasn't really implying my message toward you directly, but I see that the last 2 sentences sorta made it sound like that, I know that you'd probably have bought it before posting a link to it if you were interested in it.

A set of OEM shrouds and headlight shell would go for a real lot. Looks nice but u never really know with the little Craig's pics.

How bad can it be? If he can wiggle on the price, and you are willing to off the new OEM plastic it starts to sound pretty decent.

im quite positive this is the same tecate that was forsale by me years ago. it was listed in Lockport NY and was listed for maybe an hour or two before being sold. back then it was listed for 2600 or 2800. guy was getting a divorce and had to sell it. i tried scrambling for the $$ but it was gone Fassst!

Front and rear OEM fenders are $270. They're still available from Kawi.

Well, if I ever make it to a shoot out, I'll bring the tecate too.
