Hi I picked up a Honda 250 sx in good shape about a year ago. It was garaged for years by the previous owner. Thought I would share a couple pics of it and ask a couple questions about it. Keepah Rolln :naughty:

In this last picture there are 4 small threaded holes, 2 on each side of the back rack for some accessory, maybe gun rack, reflectors. Anybody know?

Another question I have is there are 2 round holes under the rear shock where it bolts on. Is there a purpose for these?

Stunning. Those are called 'time machines'.

I just wrote hot topics but it got lost.
...so with no finess..
make sure the rear end has gear oil it's only like 3 ounces
ownermanuals and orig sales brochures may give you some insight.
Keep the gas tank full or completely empty and dry and fogged with marine oil to prevent rust.
oil filter CAN go in the wrong way so be careful
and thanks for preserving a piece of history.
That thing looks NEW!
congrats

Just checked my sx and I could be wrong but I think those holes are so mud and water and snow/ice can drain out of that pocket. The operators manual and service manual mention nothing of those holes under the shock. My rear rack does not have those holes on the back so I'm not sure on that one.
I was just thinking when I got my sx (I think around 1989 or 90) it was nice but man yours looks like its mint. Great find.

Thanks for the comments everyone. She still needs a little love as she has a little road rash on the front fender, and light switch from back in the 80's...Can't wait to use her on the ice again this year for icefishing!!
