Honda 250R engine identification?

I just bought a Honda 250r for a restoration project. The guy who sold it to me said it was a 1986 engine, but it is air cooled so it couldn't be a 1986, could it? The numbers off the engine are TB06E
2000850
Any help identifying the year of this motor would be greatly appreciated. I'm excited to start buying parts and get this thing back the way it should be. Thanks, Greg.
