big red fenders

Does anyone know where to find oem fenders for a big red 250? I dont like the look of those maier fenders. I want some that have the black trim and mud flaps on them. Is there such thing? How would you restore the original fenders?

OEM fenders are hard to find and expensive, you see them on e-bay time to time. Search the forum on restoring plastic, there are a couple threads about it. I ran a buffer with a light rubbing/wax compound that I use on my boat, put a nice shine on them.

Yep good luck. Ive had good luck with my maiers not breaking and they seem to clear oversize tires better, but I know what you mean about the look. We've gone through our fair share of used OEM ones. never got any new ones though

somewhat off topic...but i am unable to start my own thread due to being a noob...

ANYWAY..my 250es has maier rear fenders..does anyone know what size bolt connects the toolbox/rear fenders to the end of the frame on my 85 250es
