86 350X and EMP

Would an EMP damage a 86 350X?:wondering

I would think not, I heard that an emp would have to be of nuclear origin to disable a car. And most cars would start after a battery disconnect. 350x electronics are ways less complicated.

a government jet fly over could cause all types of problems like car doors unlocking, back hatchs opening, ECU failure, but thats on vehicles with computers not something as simple as your 350X. Vibration and oxidation wears the thin clear insulation off of the coil and stator wire windings. Another way is over voltage or high amps causing a melt down or for wires inside to pop like a fuse.
A EMP blast can occur with out a nuclear explosion but the only EMP blast capable of that you would have to drive the bike through the EMP machine like they do the cars for testing.
