Will do. Last year we had helmet cam failure so was lucky to have the hand held vids we got. Will try the helmet cam again this year if all goes as planned.

I've watched them, very nice...could you explain the start? I MX so I'm used to a gate drop...Not real familiar with Dirttrack but it seems similar. How do you figure who gets the inside pole psition? Time trial qualifers...but to me the pole position with the fastest time would be impossible to pass in 4-5short laps. Maybe you could explain??? Thanks

At sign in you draw a number and that number gives you your starting position in the 1st heat race of two. The second heat race starting position is inverted so if in heat race #1 you had the first position (the pole position) in the second heat race you have the very last position (normally last row and outside). They score the races with transponders so there is no question of lap times and who passed or lapped who. They average your two heat races together and that is how they pick who gets what position in the main event. This is up close and personal slam bang racing so it is highly unlikely that you would win both heat races and its been proven that the pole postion is not the automatic winning place to start. You can win from the back row. It works out well this way. Snooze and you lose.

That is a normal 2+4 Dura Blue Axle for a Tri Z and it uses Hub Adapters from Missile Engineering (name changed to Village Blacksmith) that changes the bolt pattern to old school go cart wheels. 6" wheels on the back and a 8" wheel on the front. Tire sizes can vary for different tracks. This is all mid 1980's technology that makes a 3 Wheeler one bad machine on a flat track or TT. Here's copies of the original brochure I have. I have included the current business card for the Village Blacksmith.
