Has anyone ever tried to put a Chinese head on a Honda 185/200? I bought one of these (http://www.hooperimports.com/product.aspx?pf_id=LF200iii-P01-03) off fleabay for $66.90 after shipping. All the bolt holes are the same, the only problem would be the pulse generator. I could make some bushings to put the honda cam in it, or I could somehow get the rotor attached to this cam. I would like to use the Chinese cam because of the bearings. I just need to get to a machine shop and see what can be done. If anyone has ever attempted this before, or has suggestions, please speak up.

From what i've read, it appears that the chinese clones are designed from an amalgam of different years of the Honda models which are squished together into one engine. I would assume that would take into account the motorcycle versions of the Honda design. I know the heads interchange off of most ATC models except the 2nd gen X's but I don't know about the motorcycle variants. Not sure if that helps. Just my input.

you can use that head on the 86-87 atc 125m.also i think if you was to use a megacycle dual bearing cam you could use the head on any atc 185/200.

Ahh. I see they have the pulse generator on the crank. That might be doable. I have 2 185s motors and a xr200 motor all with bad heads I'm trying to get this head to work with.
