My great grandpa bought this pedal tractor and wagon for me and my brother back when we were born. Here is a old picture of when he gave it us around 1974,

Here is how it looked a few weeks ago.

It got backed into by a Suburban back in the 80s and broke the steering wheel and seat off and bent the rear axle on both sides real bad.

My Mom has said that she would like to restore the old pedal tractor a few times over the years so I decided that this year I'll redo it for her for Christmas. Well, I found a place that sells parts for any brand pedal tractor so I got new parts for it and here is how it looks tonight.

My parents are going to put it inside there new house as a decoration.

Just wanted to show the newest odd thing I cleaned up....lol

Thanks guys!

It felt good to do it knowing that she has no idea how far I went with it. She just thinks I put a seat and steering wheel on it....lol

I used to have one of those! With the trailer too! I rode that thing everywhere. It got stolen, or I would probably still have it.
The trailer was around forever until we moved.

3 of us in the neighborhood had them, I had a JD, kid next door named Keith had a JD and my friend Jake had an IH. Keiths dad made tire chains for all of us so we
could get around in the snow. Great work! Looks better than new! Thanks for making me smile today. HH

We get along just fine. But when I asked your brother once why you rode in seperate vehicles alot, he just gave me this angry and scowling stare! LOL Needless to say I didn't bring it up anymore.

He is afraid to ride in a quality vehicle thats why you got the scowl.

Yes, they are somewhat rare but available if you really look for them. They aren't highly valuable since they aren't old, they were made in the early 90's. I have seen some still new in the box bring as much as $800. They are the same casting as the model 55 produced at the same time so restored ones can easily be fake. I get my parts from www.pottersfarmtoys.com they will have the seat you need and they are located in PA.

That's cool, it takes the same seat as the 55 and they are about $15 I think.
