I'd sure read threads concerning the 350X frame and need re-enforcements before I'd start that project if your not familiar with that model trike.

Thanks i have a couple 350x trikes but never done a engine swap in one i put a xr500 in a 200x years ago but cant remember what was involved other than my motor mount busted throwing the chain and destroying the case.but thanks ill see what i can find on here

Atc500x I think had a build thread several years ago and put a 500cc thumper in a 350X frame. While not a later model motor you'd probably encounter similar issues. There have been others on this board who have or have tried swaps similar to this one but I'm not sure if they were 600's or not.

You might want to talk to tapper190 about that!!!!
He built one with a XR500,,think it's some major surgery!! Good luck with the build!!!

It is indeed major surgery. I do not know the details, but I know it's more than just a swap.

Thats going to be some decent surgery involved to squeze it in there. I know Roger (Sandpupy) shoe horned a 600 motor into his 350X, dont know what went into the build to make it possible but I do know he made a 600 motor work in it though. Good luck if you decide to get balls deep in this project!

Trust Me Don't do it, you can sell the R and get what you really want!! Patience is a Virtue.

shoehorned a 500 into a 350x... not in my 500X ( done back in 86) or my buddys ( done last year). mine is part of both bikes and teddy's has a new carrarge, tube, mounts, and gussetts.. you will do some cutting
