Two questions, first what to do about this. Fixable? The rust. Best Way?137478 Second I'm new here and Ive been looking for a few parts, I'm in the middle of rebuilding a 1984 Kawasaki KXT 250 and I was curious if any one here had them or what is the best place to get them from. Carb boot/holder dealer wanted $65 for one looking for cheaper, Radiator, rear tires, reeds valve, left flywheel engine cover.

ehh, looks pretty bad, 3m makes lil scotch brite roloc discs that go on a drill, part # 07480, try those or u might just have to resort to sanding an polishing.

the worst is you could replace the fork instead of trying to get the pitting out. Or you could
try sanding it out and then polishing it on a polishing wheel to get it back near its original finish.
Good Luck!

the pitting seems pretty deep. Even if you get it all off it would be best to try and seal it somehow afterwards. Using a power tool to get that off will be a must though.

Try soaking it that might take most or all of it off if you lucky but it still won't look that pretty
