Its less than 2 weeks from christmas and I have been having 60+ degree weather out! we haven't even hit a high of 32 yet this season! Its crazy. Anyone else wondering what the balls is going on? Last year it was less than freezing from mid october to early march. No warm days last season at all! We even had a week of 16-20 degree weather last season. Maybe the world will roast alive in 2012?

LOL! It seems as though winter has a different personality every year. I live in northern NYS, (Lake effect snow country). So far this season we have only had about 6 inches of snow fall in my area, and that was back in november and long gone at this point. The snowmobile trails have been officially open now for 2 weeks, but no snow to ride on! I remember Thanksgivings in the past where we had a foot of snow, and on the other hand I can remember years where we barely had a white Christmas....Ah, the ebb and flow of the weather.....

How do you think we feel in FL? You can still go swimming right now.....

We can still go swimming here in MN... Take a chainsaw, cut a hole in the ice, and take a dip... Called a polar plunge....

Mayans were right, end of the world next year. expect it to rain fire soon....

here in NJ we got blasted with a snowstorm in october, then 65 degrees, then freezing again only to get warm the next week.

last week of November my flagpole snapped in half due to the flag freezing in the rain (rained when I was sleeping) and then we had 60 degree days throughout December sprinkled here and there with freezing temps.
At this rate, i don't think I'll winterize my motorcycle.

Here in Northeast Michigan we have received the least amount of snow so far this year since they started keeping records in 1916. We have had 2 tenths of an inch in Alpena. I love it.

I would be ok without all the snow... As long as the lakes freeze soid enough to go rip the BR and 70 around for a couple days...

We only got one measurable snofall this year and it was 1/4". Just enough so we would not get the all time record Since 1916 for latest snowfall date. Today was the old record and while it is 32 degrees outside right now the sky is blue and clear. It is actually supposed to get warmer for the next couple of days. I keep thanking my neighbor, he went out and bought a new snow blower the week before Halloween. At this rate he wont be using it until next winter (I Hope) I havwe actually been wanting some snow to play in...

It went from being in the high 20s in the morning, to 60 degrees at 5:30AM yesterday. It's been crazy!!! And it didn't even start getting cold until late November.

It was like 73 here today in central NC, and right now at about 9:15pm its about 55-60. Keep in mind it gets dark at 5pm here now. This is ricockulous! Hell, I just got a golf cart and am dropping a motorcycle engine in that that for some sand drag racing. Yeah, its that warm out.

But Winter should be winter,,and our vag weatherboy keeps chirping how awesome this is..A hh,move to Florida, where tey don't depend on a good snowblanket for their ecosystem.. Looks like a 5% chance at best for a white Christmas...

Driest November in history in Oregon.
A few days below freezing.
River is summertime low
but the west coast has it's patterns of dry dry summers and wet winters when the
jet stream finally drops.
Spring rains usually stop like an on off switch when it finally lifts back up.

Last year at this time we had over 3ft of snow in my yard...it was by far the best snowmobiling season I ever had. Now, I have mud, rain, and a snowmobile with a fresh top to bottom motor that can't be rode. Beyond annoyed.

It's a strange or coincidental sign of ??????????????????

I'll miss running my new 4snows, but the gas and oil bills are really helping me in a tough time!

Who knows, we may still get bombarded!

I hope you guys get all the snow you want, as long as it doesn't come any farther south then the southern PA border! LOL The worst is, waking up early, shoveling for an hour or 2 and then going to work! LOL There are no enterprising (snow shoveling!) youth in my neighborhood at all. LOL

March use to be a hit or miss, warm or cold, but never a snow-flooded month. We shall see, I hope not!!

I've lived here 14+ years and I should be riding on the big lakes by now. No ice on Cold Lake at all except in the marina and the bays. All the little lakes are frozen and safe, but it has been unseasonably warm here too. By the way November was going I thought we were in for another doozy. I'm all for a warm one. We've had some really bad ones the last 4 years. I predict fire bans by April at this rate.

50 and sunny today here on Long Island. I was talking with my niece the other night about the weather. She works on Mount Washington at the weather observatory and said this winter looks just like the winter of 2006. The forecast is that February through April should be cold/snowy. We'll see if she's right.
