Rear shock is adjustable and very nice to have depending on terrain.
I've also heard of people changing front shock oil weights for various reasons.

I have one sx that I bought with a Keihin carb that has an accelerator pump in it.
Sure seems faster than the others and I do like the old style flapper choke but
not sure I'd do much if it runs the way it is.
I like the oem dependability.
Kinda depends on what you want (it) to do.

All 'we' expect from them is to do anything we ask at anytime of day in any weather.

We DO love having racks on all of them.
Kinda protects the fenders and easier to haul chainsaws and stuff.

Some folks race them and mud bog etc and have great ideas for
modifications, from nitrous to winches to ice fishing houses

Maybe the search key will give you some ideas.

If you don't use the rear brake handle remove it with the cable and change it for a xr500 decrompressor lever as the reverse lever.Easier and faster to shift in reverse, reverse cable fit right it the XR lever
