Surfing ebay this morning and found this. I have no idea what they are worth, just putting it out there for those who might be looking for one of these.

Good deal at 124+shipping....it's used but I'd call DuraBlue and check the #'s to see just how much over stock it might be. 86'axles are not easy to find...If it wasn't for Christmas and taxes due soon I'd open that bid.

Great deal! Those things are HARD to find! Once you do find them they are not cheap. When I was looking a year ago all I could find was $500+ for the only one I could find! Jump on it!

Man you should of had $3-400 on that thing from the get-go if you were serious. It could be a very, very long time before you come across another......... bummer.

Exactly, I have only seen maybe 6 in years. Yes, both the 83-85 200X fit as well as the 83/84 250R, but the seals change as well as the sprocket. No big deal though as those are still available......

My 86 had one on it when I got it a few years back. I don't even think they had any idea how rare it was. It's great! I have just been riding the bike as it is, but it will be getting a refresh in 2012. I will put some pics up when I have the axle re-zinc'd.

lol, I only had 167$ to work with and DC won it with 166 -_- How much would you charge me to fix mine? Ima run by a atv repair shop on tuesday and see if they still fix axles, I called and the B*tch lady answered and straight told me no and hung up! But when my uncles was younger and had his banshee he said they used to straighten his axles all the time! PM me shipping info and cost :)

Honestly, I don't have the time anyhow; Any shop with a press,v-blocks and a dial indicator can do it.........

I bid 300$ on that puppy. Not that I have it, but it was worth it

Great buy....DC, I'd have made you pay $220:twisted: but I'm too tight to be buying a backup for the backup worth every nickle of $200 bones IMO. Good buy and thanks for posting the link Scooty.

if you would pay 300 plus shipping for an old ratty one, then shurely you would pony up a few more bones for a nice shiny new one!!

Here is one with a 86 frame and air cooled 250r engine for $300. In a previous ad he had up he claimed it was a +4 axle.

hoosier...that ad there is a $$$maker. $300 for it all! Heck between the axle and the rest of the machine parting that machine could pocket some serious cash...A person could stand to gain $300 easy on the remander of the machine. Wow tempting, even though I hate seeing trikes parted out; a frankin-trike doesn't bother me as much. Sounds to me the 2stroker could use a clutch.

Yeah if I had the cash it would have been in my garage already.

^ Those all fit, just different lengths/hubs and seals on some......

This one is just a very rare one, I'm aware of 3 out there. I'm sure there are more, but 3 including mine.

I have a 86/87 durablue 200x axle, I bought it from a salvage shop in 05, for something like $200. I called them about an axle that was needed, they didn't have any, a week later called me and told me that they found a durablue axle in the back. I replaced it w/ a stock 83/84 250r axle when I found how rare it is. Then it got replaced by a nasa 83/84 250r axle, bent that, back to stock 250r axle and got a durablue 83/84 250r axle, good axle nut setup and 400ex lsr hubs. I haven't thought about parting w/ the 86/87 200x axle.
