make sure the tank is super clean... I have also heard that the plastic should be warm(room temp). I've never done it but my buddy was having a problem doing the same thing. The dealer suggested the plastics be warm. But he ended up taking it to a sign shop. they did it for like $10 and then also put a sealer around the edges so it wouldnt peel when washing. He said it looks mint(and hes super picky). hope this helps.

I have never heard of a solution to putting decals on a plastic tank, that worked unless the inside of the tank had a sealer put in it like Redcoat or cream. The fuel WILL permeate the plastic.............

That's kind of what i thought. Are the dealer decals better? The dirtbikes always had decals like this and i don't remember it being a problem.
