Back pressure question

Hey guys I recently welded a crack in my exhaust near the cylinder head. It has become harder restart my 200x since then. Is this because i welded the opening?

welding a crack in the exhaust should not have changed anything.

... As long as there isn't a big booger of weld significantly protruding inside the pipe...
