I'm looking to build a expedition rig with the reliability of the 200s I had one as a kid and now i want one to build a get lost in the woods and find my way out a few days later rig. But as a kid they where quick not fast but would always get me where i wanted to go up hill down hill flooded or mudded out anything anytime anywhere. And there is the issue i have read through and looked but now i want to get a build plan together, I'm trying to find the strongest and most powerful honda semi- auto clutch 200 combo i need cam cylinder piston head carb and lower end info the idea is less moving parts the better front suspension only no water cooling no battery less to go wrong the better but i'll need the extra power for a bigger then when i was a kid me (about 80lbs heaver lol) and gear water gas small tent food ect. so if you have built one like this please help i'm looking for the most power i can get out of one of these :p

You just described how I use my 84 200es bigred. They really are bulletproof from Honda, just rebuild to stock and drive the wheels off it. :)

The 250SX trike is your best option for H.O power on the trails.

ya the 250SX is your best bet if your set on semi auto. Them or the Big Red. The Big Reds are geared lower and may suit you better if your hauling alot of stuff around though.

I would get a big red 250 if I were you. They have a lot of power and are bulletproof.

All the Hondas are bulletproof. its just up to you what you use for what your doin. you could use a 250r for this, they just arent made for it. like a big red isnt made for racin. you gotta find a happy medium somewhere. what your doin : what trike you use

The big red will also be good if you are a bigger guy because it has more room for you and also for carrying stuff.

A 250 sx would be a good trail maker and you can carry alot of gear on them with front and rear racks...

I had a early 200 not the s no susp . the thing was a goat it would go anywhere ,I forget what tires where on the back but they looked like tracter tires the front was stock 25/12/9's i think it had the rack on back ,if it had a front rack and better footpegs ,they were rubber and get slippery, It would have been prfect for what you are talking about. it also had a traler hitch,I use one of those child biycle trailers with 110 wheels and tires it worked pretty good to haul crap ,firewood ,coolers etc it finally broke but after a yr or sovery ligthwaight aluminum frame and nylon. your on th right track with the 200s ,but the bigger frame bikes are more roomy good luck
