I dont think it matters where I live, I would always want to live somewhere else after so long. Like to live on the west coast to get those deals on nice trikes but then would want something else! Ive been saying Alaska for as long as I can remember and its on my bucket list to at least visit there and land a 50lb+ King Salmon on a fly rod from the bank but then I would want to got somewhere else- Like Australia!!! My wife says Im never happy so just deal with what I got so thats what I do.

You can get it road registered and then use it on the green lanes. Just gotta watch out for crazy guys on off-roaders!

If you are friends with a local farmer you can register it cut price, as farm vehicles have special dispensation.

Seeing that you can legally ride a trike on the road makes me want to move to England ;-). The grass is always greener.......

now I am going to upset some of the US guys here but I can license my trike for the road here in montana, just have to keep it off the interstate. I have a ytm225 dx and all I need to do to it is have a working tail/brake light, and a mirror on the drivers side, and it is street legal. Adding in the switch and wiring for a brake light is easy even using my current tail light assemble so after that it's a removable mirror and 45$ and good to go.

Don't you have to have DOT approved tires?

nope, not unless you can do 75mph and are legal to go on the interstate, or freeway as it is known down your way. All of my friends have their atv's street legal, and none of them have street tires, the things I listed is all that's required here for in town use, highway has stricter requirements.

you can even street legal a 2 stroke, if it meets the standard requirements, as we don't have any smogging laws up here. Plus if a vehicle is over ten yrs old you can lifetime license it atv's and atc's included. lifetime license cost is around 126$, which is not bad considering you may have a vehicle for 10 yrs before trading it in or selling it and at 50$ as year, it's alot cheaper

Alaska is a GREAT place to live as long as you live in the southern part. If you take a trip up here and come to homer ill show you how we do it in alaska.
