Live an hour and change away from Attica IN so I've decided to pick up a few 200es trikes for me and my friends. I'm pretty savvy when it comes to wrenching on motorcycles so getting them up and running shouldn't be a problem. I've already gone through alot of threads here and picked up tons of great info. Never did get to ride one of these "death traps" as a kid but always wanted one. Gonna be a blast! Glad to have found this site.

Welcome aboard!

Love my 84 BR! I use it for slow paced woods riding with the wife and kids, deer hunting/scouting, transporting my 2-man treestand, etc.... I LOVE that lil' workhorse!

Deals keep falling through. Luckily there's lots of options around me. I need three trikes and my plan was to get the same model so our spares were similar. I realize the '84s have dedicated parts to that specific year only. How often does reverse really come into play out on trails? Having a shaft instead of a chain was also plus in my book but I assume if three fat tires are under us we'll be having fun no matter what eh?

Well, I can say I REALLY like having reverse on my BR.... Come to think of it, for some reason I wouldn't be nearly as in love with it if it didn't have shaft drive, reverse and that hi/lo sub-transmission... All those little creature comforts make my BR so much more enjoyable to me for what I use it for...

Same here. I just putt around like Mr Honda intended when he built these things. 84 200ES, stock, stock, stock...aside from a gun rack. Washes, dirt, deep sand, climbing, mountains, the Big red does it all and just keeps coming back for more.

reverse is nice but you dont NEED it, shaft drive trikes are much lighter and thus harder to get stuck and easier to get unstuck. good luck finding a trike, it really doesnt matter what it is as long as it has 3 wheels and a motor.
