I have started several threads on various problems, so I figured that I would start one to document it all. This long story started around 2007 when my dad
bought two 110's from a friend of his. The unit I am working on did run on the original motor for some time, but it had very low
compression. It finally died, and was put in the front of our barn, and never moved for several years. In 2010, I decided to put the motor out of the parts unit into it, to see if I could get it going again. After we installed the motor, we never got it run, but needed the barn space, so we put it under
the overhang on the side of the barn. It looked pretty much like this for about 2 years. (CDI cover was on, took this while trying to get spark)

I worked with it on and off, but never got anywhere. I mentioned to him about selling it, but he never named a price. So, I figured that there was no reason that it should just set there. So, I tore it back apart to see if I could find out why I was not getting any spark. After getting a weak
spark, I ordered a new plug and a replacement carb for it. They arrived today, so I rolled it on to the driveway.

I put on the carb and swapped out the plug, but it still would not run. I checked the timing and had to reset the generator rotor. Of course, just
when you think it would run, I put gas directly into the carb and watched it come out from around the intake manifold gasket and onto the
driveway. I pulled the manifold, which was surprisingly difficult since the bolts had actually grown in size due to the rust on them. They were
dropped into evapo rust, where they are soaking now. I do not have a replacement gasket, so I will be using the hot rodder's favorite solution :
gasket in a tube. Yes, I know it is not the best solution, but it is all I have and will use it along with the original gaskets. (Does anyone know if
their are supposed to be two gaskets present on the manifold?). As of now, this is it. I will have another update tomorrow, hopefully of me
driving it.

I finally got it to run, after trying about everything imaginable to get it to run. So, I now need to get a shift lever and new master link for the chain so that it will be driveable.

Thanks for sharing the struggle with us i'm glad you got it to run it gives us all hope I have a 110 I need to look at soon and I am fearing the worst (low compression) so I got my fingers crossed

Hey i like the orange screw driver. I got the same one its really got me outta some jams haha. Nice trike there seems to be alot of 110s on the market, or at least where i am. That ones in way better shape than the one i was looking at a while ago.

If you're worried about low compression, I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't have compression, ring kits are cheap and apparently easy to install. As for the screwdriver, it does its job well.

Today, I drove it for the first time in 6 years! It smoked horribly, but seemed to get slightly better as I drove it some (I'm running some Lucas Oil treatment currently). Also, I really need to drive it more, just to get more experience with it.

Its a fork extender. When I got it, it was already on there. I don't know if I'll keep them or not, that will be decided when I respray the front fork in a few months.

I out some Marvel Mystery Oil in it, and it is smoking less, so we'll see after this tank of fuel (which also has Lucas Oil in it, yes it smoked before I added all of these)
