Start by checking your harness connections, make sure they're all clean and getting a good connection...sounds like there's a poor connection somewhere.

check all grounds... i had a similar problem on my tecate... bad ground, i took the ground off and sanded and it started right up after that... so check grounds and all connections.. hook up a volt meter to your wires coming from the stator and see how many volts your putting out... i was putting out about 3 with a bad connection... fix the ground and connections and you will be back in business.. also make sure filters aare cleaen and everything else is good to go to eliminate issues

I am having similar issues with my 200es, I get one single spark when I push the start button but nothing after that-and that isn't every time either.

adjust valves and timing... check to see if it has the advanced timing because that can make the difference if your not getting spark at the correct moment of tdc... also hook up your volt meter and take out your plug and push the kick start with your hand while reading the volt meter and see what your getting.... should be around 12-14 volts i believe

okay, I feel really stupid....I went back out and began checking my connections and found that my CDI plug was getting a poor connection. Cleaned it and pluged it back in and she fired right up.

would the pulsar coil have anything to do with this problem?

i had this problem on my little '86 Dodge D50 pickup, Mitsubishi 4cyl. Only it would lose spark in one cylinder after runnin awhile. mine was in the plug wire. when it got warm, it wouldnt wanna fire. but when it was cool, it fired fine. inspect your wire and boot. see if theres somethin that its rubbin on (to ground it out) or if its just too worn

If you have a multi-meter, you can test many electrical parts, might save you some cash.

i think i figured it out! okay so try to take the boot off the plug and make sure 100% you are making contact from the metal in the boot to the wire from the coil.... i had this problem with my tecate i just remembered, and some have a screw that screws in and some have a 90 degree angle sharpened hook.... try to get that to make a perfect connection and put it all back together and try that! get back to us!!!

Couple of thoughts:
Is the plug new or has it been replaced recently? An iffy plug sometimes breaks down its insulation as it heats up, 5 mins may be enough.
Valve clearances, check they are good. If they are tight, then after warming up your clearances may disappear!
