Where is the best place to get the rear axle bearings and quality seals for my 84 big red? I also need a new brake drum. I do not want to get a kit. Only the brake side bearing is bad along with the seal, but I want to replace all axle bearings and seals while I am at it.

Thanks,
Nick

if you know the dimensions/bearing #, you can get good bearings from The Big Bearing Store website. i got mine for $4.22 a bearing

BEarings are standard. Get the numbers off the bearing, look in phone book for "bearings", EVERY town has a bearing house. Call them up, give numbers and get them cheap.

Lamont's right. in Wichita, KS we have alotta bearing places. the most known is BRC Bearings. theyre an international company. but i like The Big Bearing Store cause theyre based outta Memphis, TN and i believe their bearings are made here in the USA!

whatever you do, DO NOT get bearings from china! their steel is recycled and not raw, hard steel like Japan and US steel. Japan's steel is actually better than ours, but we know how to build with what we have ;)
