What year is your R? What 300 kit are you speaking of?? Key info needed for us to be able to help you... I'm brand new to big bores, but there are a few others here that are very experienced with them...

Oh, and welcome to 3WW! :beer

Ok, I don't have any experience with that particular year R and BB setup... So it wouldn't be prudent for me to make recommendations..

There are quite a few here running the Air-Hammers, I'm sure someone will chime in with some recommendations..

The 300r kit was a Hondaline kit.It was designed to be run with the stock carb and pipe.It came with a bigger jet for the carb.Pretty much any up grade that you would use on the 250 setup will work with the 300r.Most of us run the 34-38 mill. carb.with a after market pipe.Like a DG or Cobra, Bills ect.V-force 3 reeds for the liquid cooled r will bolt right in as well.DG is the only company still making new pipes for the air cooled r.

Have you tyed a different coil.I had a problem like this a few years ago.The trike would start and idle .anything under 1/4 throttle was fine .As soon as you got on to it it would skip and studder and run like crap.I rebuilt the carb ,change the plug and finaly I changed the coil and it ran great.
