the best mods are usually the most known. pipe, air filter, sprocket gearing, etc. just search around the internet more, thats all you gotta do. im sure theres some other things, but im brain dead right now. since its 7:45 in the mornin..

84 is the year and I did a little research as of now I hope all is good

1st gen 200x's = 83-85 parts will mostly interchange..little differences like swingarms...different on an 83 (round tube instead of square tubing)..fun little bikes!

the 84,85 swingarm is better anyways you wouldn't want to downgrade at least thats my veiw, i have an 83 and would gladly trade swingarms with you lol
