Hello, I recently bought a klt 110,so I thought. It states a 110a model on the sticker on the frame. I ordered a carb for it(110) on a whim and when it showed up it wasn't the correct one. After some microfiche searching I found it to be a 160 motor.I also tried to do a vin check when I first bought it but only could make out 16 digits. After seeeing the carb I removed the tank and found the sticker there with the vin #. The last 0 was the missing digit. Did a search and found it to match as a 85 klt160.So my question is did all the 160's use a 110 frame and kawasaki left the frame tags as a 110a??? Or is this some type of motor swap going on?? Lastly on the whim with the carb I bought a seat for a 110.Will it still fit the 160? It came with an xr600 seat and tank.

I had the exact same thing happen to me as well. I Bought what the guy on the phone said were (2) 110's and when I got there the motor on one of them was obviously bigger. 160's have shaft drive as well. But on the steering neck it had a 110 sticker. Frames look different though, so I don't know what the deal is?

Good info daninmin. After looking it over again its deffinately a klt 160,shaft drive and all. Still not sure why the frame says 110 but atleast I know which machine to buy parts for now.
