84 honda 200es still doesnt run

my 84 honda 200es big red,still stops after about five minutes with no spark,put in a new coil,new cdi box,a ebay used stator,triple checked wiring,about ready to throw in the towel,any new ideas?

cdi could have that thin film of like rust colored dust. or the coil could be shorting when it gets warm.

Try disconnecting the kill switch and running it. Might be a short in there? It was literally just happening on my 70 not 30 minutes ago.

Hello all.

I'm new to this site and i'm new to two strokes. My uncle gave me a 85 250R and I'm restoring the whole thing. It is almost completely done except i'm waiting on a coil to show up and I haven't put the gas tank or exhaust on yet. Quick question. I went to kick the motor over just to move the piston up and down through the cylinder some and I noticed oil coming from the exhaust. Is this normal?? Once again i'm new to the two strokes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok,thanks will try that tomorrow,is there any other grounds,other than the one on the coil,and the main ground?

superglide have you tried other spark plugs or check that one make sure its still good

i had this same problem a few times, i eventually had to get a new wiring harness because it had a short somewhere but i could be a list of thing you know?

honda told me they couldn;t test my cdi (to 0ld) they told me my pick-up coil is bad,thats the only thing i haven;t replaced.will try that in the near future
