I have just bought an 84 atc110 and need some help. When its cold it will ride pretty good but it seems like it doesn't have much power. After a good 10 minustes of riding it loses all of its power. The engine still going strong but try and go up a little hill and she'll sit still. I'm thinking its a clutch issue. Any ideas?

Are you sure your in the right gear my 83 110 won't climb anything really unless it is in first gear, also it climbs even better if you are in low gear too, there is a lever on the bottom of the engine on the left hand side

Yeah even first gear in low it gives me trouble. Like I said it does good when its cold. Ride it 10 minutes and its like a different trike. The engine sounds normal and doesn't bog but it just has no pull power at all.

your points may not be set just right you gotta have them just right to get the most power out of it and the vibration of your engine always vibrates them loose seems like, the 110's drive me crazy because of the points lol

so is the engine reving up at the time when you are not moving? if so did you try to adjust the clutch yet. I had to do that on the 110 I got and had to change the clutch in my 125m becouse it was so bad. I got Clutch plates off ebay for about 30 dollars, kind of a pain to get it apart and get the clutch fork in right.

Another thing to add. I can crank this thing with the pull cord while it is in 1st gear with no problem. It doesn't try to go anywhere. Gotta flintstone it for a second to get it moving then off it goes. Haha. A bad clutch you think? I'm not a heavy guy either. 175lb
