I recently bought the trike I have been searching for. I am so excited, It sounds great and looks great too. It's an 87 Big Red and I love it. But toying around on it I noticed a leak from a screw above the spark plug to the right. the screw runs Vertically. It is the screw in back on the valve head that I am pointing to, not the screw that bolts the valve head to the cyl block. I am not sure what this screw is or why it is leaking. Any insight will be so great!
Thanks so much- Greg

Ok i figured it out. It is my rocker arm O ring that is leaking. I ordered an online manual which had all the specs and teardown diagrams. Thats how I realized what the problem was. I need to change them and I should be good to go. Which wont be an issue i dont think, but i will find out once I can get a replacement O ring. I am still really pumped about my purchase. I ordered new shock boots yesterday and cant wait to install them. I have owned many 3 wheelers but never the Big Red. I have been waiting for a decent one to come around and I finally found it! I never expected to find an 87. It makes the purchase that much sweeter. I hope i am not gloatting.:p

I was looking around the web for some plastics for my 185s and they are out there. I found many sets on ebay for around 200, front and rear. I would just do an internet search on google and see what comes up.

I am not sure if it is an old rack or purchased later on in its life. I have a 185s that has the similar rack , which was purchased new when the bike was, so maybe it is original. Not sure. my new 250es back rack has 4 bolt holes which align with the 4 bolt holes on the front winch mount. I will drink a few cold ones and examine it on the weekend to try to come up with something to somehow make a quick change from the front rack to the back rack. I will let yall know if I come up with something and i will of course post some pics. This saturday I am changing my front dust boots and my Rocker arm O-ring. I hope it all goes smooth!
