I was looking through some old pictures today and ran across these.
When I still lived in an apt they were sealing the asphalt. They told everyone they were doing the other side of the street....they lied!
As you can image I was lividhttp://www.3wheelerworld.com/images/icons/icon8.png since my bike was covered in asphalt sealant. After many angry phone calls to the managers they paid for a complete cleaning and detailing of my bike.

With the title of the thread "they paved around my bike", I was more than a little disappointed to learn of the true story. LOL

Thats funny, and thats a nice VTX BTW. I would have moved the bike and busted out the paint and painted "motorcycle parking only" after that.

my dad had a pearl white VTX 1800 for awhile. he put on a 2-into-1 pipe, PowerCommander, and some other stuff i dont remember (i was 12). he didnt like that it was top heavy and the way it sat, so he sold it. he still likes to tell his story about the beast doin 110mph in 3rd gear

Being an excavator, I have been around paving/resealing plenty. That is some nasty sh*t to get off and clean. I would have been pissed. It looks exactly like the kind of work the local paving crew does around here (Knife River). Their company has gotten so big and has bought out all the little guys so now they have the worst attitude and work ethics you could imagine, being there is no longer any competition.

It didn't help I didn't get along with the management at the apartment complexes (I thought they should have done more to keep trashy people out...)

Rodeofan - that's interesting he thought it was top heavy, I consider it the opposite. A lot of the older (80-90s) bike seem to be top heavy (including my dad's Honda Valkyrie)

I do find it interesting that your bike is the only vehicle in the whole lot. maybe you got the memo mixed up

Nah, I had the memo correct...that's why they agreed to pay for the cleaning.
